Andy Westfall is a fifth-generation Humboldt County rancher, photographer and author known for Humboldt Heartland (2010), a photographic record of Humboldt County's family ranchers. Uniting his interests in history, ranching and photography, the book was fourteen years in the making as he photographed, visited, rode along and worked on ranches throughout the county. His presentation Life, Land, Legacy: An Evening Reflecting on California's Ranching Heritage reflects that work in photographs and first-person quotations.
