Amber Bjork

Amber Bjork (she/her) is a Minneapolis-based actor, director, and arts administrator, and founding member (2012) of The Winding Sheet Outfit, a Twin Cities company making devised work from historical lives and old stories. She joined Minnesota Fringe Festival staff in 2014, serving as Office Manager, Artist Liaison, and Festival Director, and tours with the Minneapolis ensemble Simple Machines ('Say When'), teaching festival-touring workshops such as 'Traveling Light.' Her directing earned a 2018 MN Theater Awards Honoree nod for Exceptional Performative Direction, and CityPages named her one of its 2019 Artists of the Year. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with four years of training in mime, movement, storytelling, and puppetry at Masque Theatre and School.
