Adriane Nicolaisen

Adriane Nicolaisen is a textile artist and professional hand weaver based in Fort Bragg on the Mendocino Coast of California. A weaver for more than 25 years, she has produced hundreds of yards of fabric and garments sold through galleries and boutiques across the country, and she earned a Masters in Textile Design from Philadelphia University in 2006. Her recent work centers on wet felting, creating sculptural pieces that often explore women and the garments they wear, informed by years of studying ethnic textiles. She is a member of the Partners Gallery artist collective and has taught weaving and felting on the Mendocino Coast.
